A treasure hunt and a walking theatre, a fashion show and a boat trip, collective painting and dance – all this and more is promised by the projects that have been awarded funding for a performative adaptation of chapters from the Grand Novel Budapest. Running from May to September, the events will cover the city from Újpest to Erzsébetliget, from Kelenföld to Kőbánya.

The 10 projects include both emerging and established groups, and all will present their ideas at a pitch forum. The presentations, each 6-8 minutes long, will tour the sites and evoke the writings of distinguished contemporary authors. The next day, the host Kolibri Theatre will present a special production of its work on the VI District, entitled Urban Legends.

The programme is organised in cooperation with Füge Produkció, in the framework of the Budapest Spring Festival, and is free of charge, subject to registration: https://form.jotform.com/241091467884364
